Kessels & Smit, The Learning Company and Sirocco Strategy Management are pleased to announce a consortium program which focuses on ‘sustainable leadership for change’. This program seeks to create an opportunity for senior European and (South) African managers to share perspectives on leadership and sustainability and to build a collaborative vision of how organizations and societies might become more sustainable entities.
The learning journey is comprised of two phases; the first takes place in South Africa from May 16 to 22, 2008, the second takes place in Europe in the fall of 2008.
Goals of the Leadership Journey
The primary objective of this program is to foster insights into your style of leadership and the styles of others and to investigate the personal and cultural principles which underpin leadership styles.
Questions and issues which interest us include:
- What does leadership and sustainable change mean for you?
- What would sustainable leadership involve for your organization?
- Describe your potential change strategy
Approach
This leadership journey encompasses the diverse perspectives of African and European approaches. Participants will bring their own mental models drawn from their different organizational contexts. The program will be facilitated in a manner which promotes the synthesis of new leadership insights.
The leadership journey will focus on three levels:
- Transforming yourself
- Transforming your organization
- Transforming your society and environment
